Through the use of a Humidifier a patient can reduce and/or eliminate the dryness which naturally occurs through the use of a CPAP Machine.

Nasal passages will naturally become dry due to the constant air flow created by their machine.  To reduce this dryness, the use of a humidifier is recommended.

Humidifiers are available from all major manufacturers.  Respironics, ResMed, Puritan-Bennett and Fisher  & Paykel use integrated humidification with their machines, thus reducing the amount of tubing and wiring necessary.

Passover humidifiers do NOT heat the water used in the process and are less efficient than heated humidifiers.
